The Indian Summer Festival, a cherished annual event, unfolds every year during the first weekend of October, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. The festival is a celebration of the arts and crafts, accompanied by a day-long lineup of entertainment for all ages. Organized by the Woody Gap Sports Club, a non-profit organization committed to community betterment, the event's proceeds are dedicated to supporting the Woody Gap School.

Located directly behind the Woody Gap School on Hwy 60 in Suches, GA, the festival embraces the great outdoors, so attendees should come prepared for varying weather conditions. The festival grounds are generously spacious, offering a level and grassy terrain for a comfortable experience.

Artists and craftspeople, both amateur and professional, are welcome to showcase their talents at the festival. It's a guaranteed good time, weather permitting, but please note that flea market or yard sale items won't be displayed, pets are not allowed, and campers are not permitted at the exhibit spaces. Your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines is greatly appreciated.

To ensure a well-rounded and diverse array of offerings, all crafts and items for sale must be listed on the application and adhered to during the festival. We maintain specific restrictions on certain crafts, such as food items, to protect the Sport's Club barbecue booth and the teachers' hamburger/hotdog stand. Additionally, sales of select Suches-specific items, like Suches baseball caps and Indian Summer Festival T-shirts, are limited to long-term festival participants to prevent market saturation. Various crafts and activities are subject to limitations on the number of booths allowed, all in an effort to provide our guests (and your customers) with the broadest range of choices while promoting healthy competition. Your understanding and cooperation in these matters are deeply appreciated as we work together to make the Indian Summer Festival an enjoyable and memorable experience for all.
